Updated Demographic Data for Urban Planners and Social Researchers

The Planners Package from GeoLytics has 3 decades of demographic data, making comparing data across time easier than ever before. It is now available with the latest 2008 Estimates and 2013 Projections.

The PLANNERS PACKAGE includes the following three datasets:

* Estimates Professional 2008/2013
* Census 2000 Long Form
* Census 1990 Long Form in 2000 Boundaries

The Planners Package is ideal for researchers and analysts who want to do time series analysis from 1990 to 2013. For the 1990 Long Form in 2000 Boundaries, we convert the data from the original 1990 boundaries to the 2000 boundaries. The package also includes the 2000 Long Form, which is the most comprehensive set of socio-economic data of its kind. Lastly, it has the most up-to-date demographic data in the Estimates Professional 2008/2013.

We also have the PLANNERS PACKAGE PLUS that includes all of the above data sets, PLUS the Census 1980 in 2000 Boundaries. With this product researchers can analyze demographic trends from 1980 to 2013. All of the data is in the same zip code,
tract, block group, and county boundaries.

Like all of our CensusCD products, users can extract data and geographic boundaries, and use them as input files for other software programs such as SAS, SPSS, Access, Oracle, Excel, and mapping software such as ArcView and MapInfo. The products also have a built-in mapping program so you can make your own thematic maps of the variables. For more information go to:

2008 Census Block Population & Housing Estimates

If you need up-to-date information at the smallest level of census geography, GeoLytics offers a large selection of U.S. population, household, and housing estimates data at the census block level. There are over 8 million census blocks in the U.S. and we now have 2008 estimates available at this very small level of geography. Use these granular data to do statistical analysis of population and housing distributions and target small geographical areas.

Our recently expanded variable list includes sex by age by race for the most precise population estimates available. We also have occupancy, owner vs. renter, households, families, and more. To view the complete list of variables, go to:
http://www.geolytics.com/USCensus,Block-Estimates,Data,Variables,Products.asp

GeoLytics’ 2008 Block Estimates come as flat .csv files for easy import into your spreadsheet or statistical software packages. It is available at state and county level increments, so pricing depends on the number of counties or states that you want. Each state is a separate file, so if you wish to purchase all the states in the nation you receive 50 files, plus 1 for the District of Columbia. For more information, go to:
http://www.geolytics.com/USCensus,Block-Estimates,Data,Features,Products.asp

We also have 2008 Estimates and 2012 Projections at the census block group, census tract, zip code, county, and state levels. These data are available in our CensusCD software format and come complete with mapping and exporting capabilities. For more information about all of our estimates and projections, got to:
